I only have about $4,000. Most of that is from medical expenses. I'm sure you DO hate it! That's a lot of money, but I'm sure that's mostly because of your schooling to become a Dr. Plus it takes a lot to set up a practice and for insurance and all that. My daughter owes a lot from her schooling to become a Dr. It takes a long time to pay off those student loans...don't worry, you'll get there (debt free) yet!

we have an outstanding balance with the light and water companies that supply us and need to be paid this week. we have a loan from an insurance company that we haven't paid its interest for two years now. lately, we needed a big amount to operate continuously our small business, fortunately a closed friend was able to lend us that amount. estimated amount of our debts is around $1,000. we are in bad shape now because the husband of my niece has been laid off from work and they are solely dependent on our financial support. but we are not losing our hopes that we could overcome this trial or problem we are facing now.

$500 into my overdraft, with another $900 odd owing to the government for last year's taxes. That's not too bad, especially since my overdraft is paid off for at least half the month every month. I got myself in that hole years ago working a horribly paying retail job and haven't managed to sneak out yet.

$0 to answer your question. Except our house. So are you wondering how to go about getting out of debt? However you got into debt, quit doing that. You will have to form new habits if you want that $60 thousand dollars to go away. It won't be fun and it won't be easy. But it will be the best thing that ever happened to you when it's gone. Just don't let it some back. If you need a place to start get Dave Ramseys book, The Total Money Makeover. It's a step by step guide to getting out of debt using your own paycheck. He also teaches you what to stay away from and what is okay. Good Luck.
