Do you really think Migz Zubiri genuinely won the number 12 seat?

So it was offically announced that Migz got the number 12 seat in the senate. Unfortunately, proclamation was put on hold again by the comelec due to the fake election returns in some district in Cebu. In Maguindanao it's 14-0 results in favor of Team Unity. It seemed too good to be true. I mean not a single person out of the 200,000 who voted picked somebody from the opposition? I had watched Migz several times in television and I can tell that his intentions are out of goodness and his desire to help improve the Philippine government. But let's be realistic many Filipinos are against the government now. Are you convinced that Migz really won the number 12 seat? Do you believed in the Maguindanao 14 - 0 results in favor of TU?

i wouldn't be surrpised if migz won the 12th seat at the last minute, he was a congressman from the south right? he was principal to a number of bills that will definitely favor the industries down south so i think he's pretty visible in that area. now, about the 14-0 result... hm... that got me thinking... but wasn't it mentioned in the news that maguindanao election results always worked in favor of the administration? one more thing, there's a big difference between hating the government and hating the administration.

just a friendly correction 12-0 result not 14-0. the aforementioned place in mindanao in 2004 has been a place of massive cheating which has been proven in places like lanao and maguindanao.. as evidenced by the hello garci scandal.. now it happened. it sad to note that there is big problem in our electoral system and no one is taking notice of improving it... it a shame that those whom we called leaders are doing to it not to serve their constituents but for themselves alone... tsk tsk

well, the current administration is what the current govenrment is right now.:) Yes Migz is popular in the Visayas. I know some people from Bukidnon who grew up with Migz and they always have good words about him. For me Migz in the senate is okay but I if it was Coco who got the seat. I think it was okay also.

Hello Kroeger, thanks for the correction :) I know it's a 12-0. The news that I've read though put it as 14-0 I think it was referring to a 14 TU senatorial candidates who got the highest vote against nothing or zero vote for the GO. :)

oh really, did the media announced it already? that made me quite sad as I am rooting for pimentel and never really like zubiri. there must be some anomaly there. besides if he is that hot in Maguindanao then he should have stayed there.

Well Migz Zubiri for me does have the qualities of a good senator. His winning the 12th spot is of course full of questions since it is heavily contested by his opponent Pimentel who is just as qualified as he is in the 12th spot. It is just too bad that these two are really after the last spot in the senate. But I hope everything will be settled soon. I also pray and hope that the one who will get it did really win in the election not because the votes were rigged.

Hello rsa101 thanks for responding. I certainly hope so too that whoever get the 12th spot did won out of honest results of the election.

Yup, no doubt he's the right 12th senator me. His last name tells it all. Z for the last. It fits for him.

Perhaps, it was by fraud that Zubiri got the 12th seat but based on Migz track record, he deserves to be in seante. Anyway, i voted for pimetel as well as for zubiri...so for me, it doesn't really matter if one of them got the 12th seat :)

4 me, migz zubiri is better than koko pimentel. because migs was a 3term congressman from bukidnon, i think koko pimentel didnt serve any local position. He just used his dad's achievements and being a topnotcher.

well, that's the advantage of having a father in the senate. thanks for your response. :)

Both Pimentel and Zubiri are good candidates to be one of our senators. I don't really care who will be getting the seat. Either one is fine with me. Since Zubiri got it, I respect that decision. He is for the Visayas and Mindanao people and I am from the Visayas I just hope Zubiri will do something down south.

I am not particular of who won. But it's sad to note that there's no democracy in that area. Freedom to vote for whom we choose is a sign of democracy. I don't believe the 14 or 12 - 0 figures.

I don't like the idea of Migz Zubiri winning the senatorial line up. I think with what happen to Maguindanao I think Migz Zubiri winning isnt that legit because of fake elections on such area. I am also rooting for Pimentel and hope he could still become a senator since there is some vacant position for senatorial line up.

I am so happy if ever this is true that Migz Zubiri already got the last 12th position in the Senate. I have never voted for Pimentel. Hey, we already got his father in the Senate, why would we need the son? Even if there will be no cheating at all, I am sure that Migz will still win in the Maguindanao area. Now, let us get back to work.

I have no problem with MIgz in the Senate though I also think that Coco is also okay but a mother and a son tandem should be enough.

I don't like Zubiri and I don't like the administration. It frustrates me to know that Zubiri has taken the place of Pimentel. The votes from Maguindanao should not have been counted. Most areas in Mindanao are prone to manipulation of the government.

Thanks for responding. I respect your opinion. I just noticed that there are quite a number of people here who I think do not like the administration. No, "do not like" is lighter, I think "hate the administration is much appropriate." :) I'm not much fond of the GMA administration either, unfortunately right now we do not have a choice.

No! Never! Admit it or not, the vote in Maguindanao is full to the brim of massive cheating. Look what Lintang Bedol did to the COCs. I agree to a columnist in Inquirer that says that not counting the vote of Maguindanaoans is not bad for their rights, the thing that is more insulting is the fact that the votes that were counted were votes manufactured by the scalawags of the administration. Counting the manufactured votes is more insulting to the people of Maguindanao.

i don't think zubiri won it without cheating.. let's face it, massive cheating during the last elections happened in mindanao. how would i trust the results when even people from comelec admit that there were irregularities in mindanao specifically in lanao and maguindanao.
