Have you ever had head lice?

I did when I was in elementary..my sisters had them too and it was fun looking for nits and lice.LOL

Luckily, I never have had head lice. There were several outbreaks of it in my elementary school too, but I was fortunate not to ever catch it. I remember the school checked us for it a bunch of times and would send letters home if anybody in the class caught it. I seen a news article on tv once about lice and they are really gross little bugs. EWW!

Luckily I never have had it (trying to get a nitcomb through my long curly hair would be HELL) but when my kids were little and in public school they both got lice a few times...with my son doing treatment was easy but my daughter had long curly hair like me AND a sensitive scalp on top of that so treatment for her was brutal.....Luckily enough though, since pulling them from school and homeschooling them then moving here they've never had it since (they are back in public school since moving here too).. It was crazy at the school they went to back in Canada...There were lice warning letters being sent home every other week (seriously) it was INSANE!!

I had it once when I was in school but until I had kids of my own I know what my mom went threw...My kids have had it several times during school..In the summer they have been clean other than this summer do to neighbors that have it and my kids got it...It's alot of work keeping your kids heads clean..but it's worth that..

Hi there. I remember back in the good old school days, I had caught them, and our mom saturated our hair with some stinky shampoo, that did the job of getting rid of them... I have'nt had any yet, and always make an effort to keep our childrens hair clean, short and always tied back, unless they are at home...
