BED TIME!!!! Do u tell stories or sing a song to ur kids before they sleep?

In indian its an habit of telling stories or singing song to their kids before they go to bed but it has been reduced now but still v hv habit of telling stories to kids.
I just want to know is their any habit like this in your country?
Do u also tell stories or sing song to ur kids before they sleep?

now i have no kids but when i will have i think i will tell them stories and play with them until they sleep because they will not sleep until they feel safe and they will not feel safe until you be beside them i hope you tell them stories

Ya u r right until the kids feel safe they wont go to sleep.I also dont have kids but my mom used to tell me stories before i go to sleep that was really nice.some stories are still in my memories.If i will have kids i think i will also tell them stories.

Hi, me too from India,
As of this topic, i used to say stories, to my sister's daughter which she will be hearing...mm,mm...mm... but will not sleep.. after a while saying some stories to her and I will start sleeping unknowingly.LOL:.....lol....After which she will get up and will walk to her mom and will sleep with her.lol:D

When my kid was infant i use to made him sleep by singing songs and now he is going to three yrs and he sleeps after listening to a story.
