What do you think of the outcome of the NEW 7 World Wonders contest?

Personally, I'm decepted. I think that something like a Latin American conspiracy has been going on (LOL). I miss the Taj Mahal very much, and others, too. Only the Pyramids and the Chinese Wall have my support.
What do you think about? Did you pay attention to this contest (a commercial one, not organized by the UNESCO, the organization that declares world patrimony -after long classification and deliberation)? Did you vote? I confess that I did, although I realize that such questions cannot be decided by democratic means, but must be evaluated and argumented by expertise. Please, post your opinion.

Why don't you list the ones that were selected or provide a link to an article? I have not heard the outcome of that vote and would be interested to know.

I don´t agree with the results. I didn´t vote but I read about it and I think this is not the best list that can be found. I think you are right when you say that this cannot be determined by voting. I also read that Mexico fears that more tourists in Chichen Itza will destroy the pyramid, and that will be worse.
