Is your child a light or heavy sleeper?

Mine is a light sleeper. If he's sleeping and I open his room door just to check on him...no matter how quietly I do it, he will stir and sometimes wake up. When he's asleep, we cannot have the TV on too loud or say anything too loud. What about yours?

yes. my mom used to explain to me that children are like fingers they came from one hand but they differ in size and shape. children are too. theycame form the same parent butthey have their own uniqueness.

Isn't it funny how every child is so different?

Very heavy, thank goodness. We from day dot, did not change the way that we live. We didnt be quiet because the baby was asleep and it worked out great, we can talk loud , watch loud movies and live normally, and they do not wake up at all.

That will not happen in our house. We tried that. Didn't work.

Both of my kids are heavy sleepers. They are also very difficult to wake up. You could make so much noise and they may stir a little but won't wake. The mornigs are hard because they want to keep going back to sleep.

Mine is the total opposite. As soon as I open his door in the morning, he will jump up, be really excited and ready to go for the day!

thankfully, my little sleeps like a top. I can hug him and kiss me while he sleeps and he would not even budge. The bad news is that it is also to wake him up in the morning and we end up late for early morning appointements! Well, you can't really have everything you want in life!

Unfortunately, both my boys are light sleepers. It´s not for lack of trying. With both of them, we left the tv on when they were sleepy, talked normally, etc. We live in one room, so it is a bit difficult to keep things quiet. However, somehow both of them turned into kids that just can´t sleep with noise. We now have a second room for my older son and we turn on a fan in his room to make white noise. The baby is still with us, we just have to keep the noise down.

That's how it is with us too. We've tried having noise around the house when they nap...tv, vacuum, etc but doesn't work.

My daughter is a pretty heavy sleeper once she's really asleep. There have been times when I've changed her diaper while she's sleeping and she's slept through the whole thing lol.

Wow! That will NEVER happen with my son. Even the slightest touch will wake him up.

My girls are all heavy sleepers. I believe it has to do with a trick my mom taught me when my first one was a baby. Everytime they laid down I would vacuum the house so they got used to noise. My carpets were so clean back then*L* I have done it with all my daughters and now they can all sleep through anything. That isn't always a good thing but for the most part I think it is great.

Wow my 1 year old son sounds just like yours. He will move around and sit up in his crib if i open the door to check on him. If he hears noise when he is trying to fall asleep he cries. My daughter on the other hand is a heavy sleeper. You can be in her room moving around turning lights on and she stays asleep.

My boys are heavy sleeper. They slept very soundly and I have problem in waking them up in the morning for school. Probably it is the training that my mom given them when young. My mom place is noisy so they are use to it.

My daughter is a really light sleeper. I have to be careful walking by her door. She sleeps really light like me. My son on the other hand I could play drums in his room and he would probably sleep right through it. My husband is a really heavy sleeper too.
