EMAIL notifications ... are YOURS turned ON??

Do you keep your email notifications on for your friends? Am I on your list? I turn all my friends on notify for email notification but you would think I don't, since lately I have only received 20 emails all day and I have over 200 friends, doesn't make sense to me.
So, is it because there is a glitch in the system that myLot is not sending me my email notifications when my friends start a discussion or is it that people are no longer coming to myLot for discussions.
What's your view? Do you have your email notifications for your friends?

I don't turn it on for all of my friends because I also have about 200 friends and I don't want my email to be full. I switch it up every once in a while on whose I have on and whose is off. I usually get around 10 discussions that have been started daily from my friends that are on.

I didn't use to keep them on, but starting enjoying the discussions more so I went ahead and turned everybody on, but now I am wondering just how many are truly active now, been a week since I was going through them, so sad!

I thought that too, I have over 200 friends if I turned it on I would be inunidated with mail, well guess what, I turned it on one to see what would happened and I was surprised I did not get more mail, I think alot of my friends might be inactive or there is definitely a glitch in the system.

It is sad that so many are inactive. I might go ahead and turn mine all on and see what happens with the discussions offered.

I have them all turned off. I initially had them all on but the number of e-mail notifications just became ridiculous. Now I just log in and head to the "discussions my friends started" section and start there. Most of my responses probably come from that part of the site.

yes i must admit i do turn it on for my friends. awwwwwww well i get far fewer than 20 a day also but i also have over 200 friends listed

... yes, it is just that you would think if you had over 200 friends and you had them on notification of emails that you would get more than 20 emails a day, don't you think? I thought I used to!!

A lot of posters are inactive. I delete the ones who have been gone for more than two months. But I have all my friend's notifications on. I think it is a fair thing, although I know not everyone replies to a lot of their notifications. There has been one time where I checked my notifications and somehow MyLot had turned a couple off. So I check that every now and then.

It is tedious and time consuming to go through the friend's list, I have tried it many times, but if it works for you, that is great, thanks for responding, it is truly appreciated!

I have noticed that things are very slow here,someone mentioned another place where that a Mylot member opend and I think many have gone there, but I dont know what it is anyhow,I havnt been getting much mail, and even when I respond ot a post I raley get response back.

I have a few friends that will respond back to me that I enjoy getting my email notifications on, but lately it just seems like I am not getting them. Thanks for responding, it is truly appreciated.

My notifications are certainly turned on....I have a lot of people on my friends list too, but don't get e-mail notifications from all...a lot may be away now..also some of my friends have evaporated somehow. have some of your friends "disappeared" as well..but I still keep them on my friends list even if they've been away or not here for a few months..just in case they do come back

I like that evaporated .. yeah I have alot of those also, wouldn't it be nice if myLot would do a clean up of all the friends that are no longer active, say after 3 weeks if they don't come to myLot they remove them as active members so that they can come off our friend's list or at least show that they are not active, what an idea, yeah right, like that is going to happen.

I have my notifications all turned on. I know some of my friends have been on vacation, or are moving. Some of them have left the forum or have been banned. Some of the people on my friends list start forty discussions a day.Some also start ten or more per day. I do get some of my notifications in my bulk from time to time, you might check there. I personally have not started a discussion in about two weeks, as I am busy with some stuff. I could give you my friend if your email inbox is lonely.

Yeah, I know people are on vacation, but I used to get over 100 emails a day from myLot, I loved it, most I responded to, some I didn't, but I enjoyed reading them along with my others things I did in the day, nowadays, I am lucky to get 1 in the afternoon and a couple overnight, such a drastic change, I figured most left with the downfall of the pay rate, I know I have not been here as much, and yes, I have missed your discussions, hopefully you are having FUN and enjoying the summer,

I had not noticed any problems. That is puzzeling. I always turn on the notification for my friends. I wonder how we would know if we're not getting all we should be getting? Strange.

You would not know, as I don't know if they are coming to, a few times I have gone online and seen a discussion from a friend before myLot has had an opportunity to notify me, but that happens rarely! Thanks for dropping by, my friend!

I do have my notifications turned on for most of my friends. Yes, they are turned on for you :) It seems like some days I hardly get any and some days my inbox is just flooded.

Mine was turned on immediately when I approve friends' request. I do not check whether there is any glitch or not as I did receive email notifications. However, I do realise that email notificaitons are lesser, and I attribute it to my friend's taking a break. Appears to me many are taking a break. I do turn notifications off for friends who spam.

I do ON only my friends who is always active and I've seen most of the time the discussion they created.
I have lots of friends on the friends list but seldom mails I recieved.
Thats why I only pick the friends for me is always present.

Well, i haven't been getting many either, and i have all of mine turned on, I personally haven't been doing much on mylot recently due to how i've been feeling, just not enough energy to play around on the computer any more, but soon enough i'll be back toer.
I think there might be a glitch though, because i see discussions i've never seen before in discussions my friends started, so maybe that's all it is...
MyLot's never really been good at keeping the glitches from overriding the system - no offense mylot, but it's true...

Personally, I have not started a discussion in quite some time. I just can't think of anything new or fresh to start a topic on, so I usually just respond to discussions that interest me. Also, it is summer here in the states and a lot of people are not sitting at the computer as much as they do in the winter time. I myself have been quite busy with other projects away from the computer.

I do keep my e-mail notifications turned on. I have been getting notified of your discussions I have just been so doggone busy lately I haven't got to be here on MyLot much, LOL. I decided tonight that I would take some time away from my work and chat on here a few minutes. I haven't started but maybe one or two discussions since I came back from vacation and haven't got to respond to many of my friends discussions. Hopefully over the next couple of days I can get caught up so I can get on here more.

Yes but only for some of them. Other I don't turn on because I would receive so many messages I wouldn't have time to process all of them. I prefer to activate that option when I like to read what that friend writes.
If I had all of them turned on I wouldn't have time, there are some friends of mine that really post a lot so it would be impossible.

I have my email notifications going to a secondary email. I really guard my primary account against anything but things I need to know or do on an ongoing basis. I get overwhelmed when too much is coming at me in something like email so this is the best system for me. The last time I checked my other account I was still getting notifications from friends starting new discussions. There maby be som sort of glitch in your case. It has been my experience that glitches get fixed rather quickly around here.

I think I am hyper, I have 3 email accounts and I love getting email so about 100 times a day I flip back and forth between all the email accounts, today I looked up an old account that I had not checked in a month, had 938 emails, all spam of course, but you never know what might be there.
