In Japan teachers get well paid but they work hard for it. Even with the upcoming summer holidays the teachers will have to go into school everyday. They also have club activities, especially at junior high level, which take up about 1 or 2 hours an evening and most weekends!
I know a couple of teachers, most nights they are at school until 6 oclock and then do work at home, some nights until midnight. They have no personal time and parents will call their home if they have problems with the kids. I wouldn't want to be a teacher here!!

Gosh! That proves the saying, "to whom much is given, much is also expected"...But even so, i know a lot of people would sacrifice their personal time for career. However, i believe personal and career must be balanced well, in order to have a healthy and abundant life!

I wish I knew where. All I know it isn't the U.S.A.If I had to guess where, I would pick Japan. They seem to value education and they respect their elders and seek their advice. And it seems that the U.S. is the complete opposite. We keep trying to make our education system work better and we seem to fail every time.
