Every I see them on the my T.V.,in channel after channel, these Evangalists or miracle men(?) as these people claim, simple utter some prayers in the name of Jesus the Almighty and touch people who are suffering from various diseases, and presto, viola, these sick(?)people faint on the stage, ofcourse in full view of the public, and after some these sick people(?) claim that they are cured (?) of all the diseases by the grace of Jesus, and they are converting to Christianity(what else).According to me this is just fraud committed on the gullible people,so they are converted by fraudalent means, these people should be sent out from India

The bible does tell us to pray, and to have 'elders of the church' anoint us with oil, laying hands on us for our healing. Is that what the TV evangelists are doing??? That is what I am not sure of. I do believe some real healing goes on, but that much of it is psychological in origin. Many of those 'evangelists' have hurt the reputation of GOD and Christianity with what they do. Why they do it is between them and GOD, but each of us is responsible, to GOD, for how we conduct ourselves.

The issue not about prayer or beleifs there are lots of Christians who attend Church regularly and go about their lives quietly, they do not make a ''show'' about their prayer, because prayer is part of their life, religion and culture. These Evangalists claim that they can heal people by just prayer, and that too they specialise in treating non-christians only,if we follow their logic then all Christians are Healthy.

Lmfao..there's no such thing as 'black' magick for one, magck's just magick..it's the people' intents which can be seen in black's white's, gray's..and purple for that matter..if on insists on a color-coding system. One of the things which always amazed me was, was christian are nearly always insisting what they do is different from magick. But it uses the same things..it's directed energy and thoughts to the creator..made real via intent, only usually it's working with their respective deity. So the deity gets all the credit. Most others, using magick..some of them will work with a specific deity too, but others won't. And they're simply directing their thoughts, will, intent..in order to do something. See? Same thing. Televangelists, and faith healers..like with many magicians there are aton of fakes. But if you're lucky you will find a real one occasionlly..that can do what they claim. They aren't exactly common though..and most of them aren't ones for the spotlight. *shrugs* But they do exist. Most of us magick users don't believe in the devil, or anyone from the christian pantheon..and we mostly work with nature and for beneificial purposes of some kind (though yes, we all seem to get a specialty sooner or later..and there are exceptions to EVERY rule).

I'm a study-er of worldwide magick-users, methods, and traditions..and I form my opinion on what I discern to be facts. And I know that 'black' magick doesn't really exist, magick simply is what it is and some people use it badly but a majority of people DON'T. Which is great, obviously. That doesn't mean there ain't a decent number of bad folks misusing one of our world's greatest gifts to us..bu yo know. Magick, though most of our population hasn't a clue about it, is involved in alot more of our every day lives than we're aware. I guess if they did people'd take more care and pay more attention, but as it stands..they don't. *shrugs* I'm just an american witch, but this is what I know and believe to be true..so..

I don't know about the western magic, but we in India have a classifaction of magic, one is the regular magic which is used to entertain people, the other other one is black magic which is used to trouble people,in Black magic devils and other negative characters are worshipped, and the magician derives his/her power from them.

Dear simple2007, I will not talk of tele-evangelists because I really don't know much about them. What I like to tell you is that healing people by miracle is part of the Christian faith in God's love and the power of the Holy Spirit. You must not watch TV to see this, you can see this in Christian churches right in India. I personally know an Indian Christian pastor who helped many people, because of the gift of healing the Lord has given to him. He does this not in TV but in the very modest dwellings those people live, without publicity and not asking for money but helping them with money. I will not deny that there may be cases probably not of conscious fraud, but of mass hysterics and autosuggestion. But when you see how crippled limps go straight, and how a a deaf person you knew for years starts to hear, then you are sure that God's mercy has worked again. Why don't you visit some Christian churches, and talk to the members, whether some people have been witness to those miracles.

Dear Vivienna, there are true-practioners of religion, who follow their religion as a part of their life, and does not make a show out of their religion like these Evangalists are doing. What I don't like about these poeple is their attempt to project Christianity as the only religion and their attempts to convert people by hook or crook. Why don't these people go to the USA and European countries and preach their ''tricks''so that they can retain the popularity of Christianity in these parts of the world, where it is losing out.

Just look at them for what they are, over zealous human beings, trying to brainwash ppl especially vulnerable people who are out of ideas, money or hope... Better yet, look at them like politicians, they want your vote so will try to draw you in with what ever crap they can think of. I think they should be sent out from everywhere not just India my friend. It is despicable how these people who claim to be people under the guidance of the lord(what ever lord it is they supposedly believe in)just want to ensnare people into their belief systems, for profit!
