I just heard on the news, a few minutes ago, that iPods can attract lightening! Apparently, if you are outside, and a storm is nearby, you can be struck by lightening. There was a man who was struck while playing his iPod, and his ears and face were burned where the earpiece and wires were on/near his head. His ears also started to bleed from within, and it then spilled out of his ears!

Probably right, iPod backings are made of metal after all. And the magnetic components in the earphone would probably help too.

oh wow, I guess that sounds logical, I would never be outside in an electrical storm anyway I am terrified of thunder and lightening, I think it is even dangerous being inside on the computer, I think it is anyway.

The truth of the matter is that the iPod doesn't necessarily attract lightning. Anyone can be struck by lightning, even though there's a ridiculously high chance that you will go your whole life without being struck by lightning. In this case, all the iPod did was to amplify the effects of the lightning strike. I suspect that the same could happen with a normal CD player or even a cell phone--any electronic device would have a similar effect.
