I personally do not like to mix business with friendship. I don't like "lending" to people because some people are not trustworthy and if it's a friend it could very well damage a friendship, when that friend is not able to pay you back. I'm glad both of them are okay, but the dog had just been through a very traumatizing event and then a stranger (the anchor) gets to close to it and of course the dog is going to react like that. But I'm glad that both of them are still alive and hopefully well.

Exactly! That's what I do because it makes things less messy. There is a difference between "lending" and "giving". If I tell my friend or family that I am going to give them money to help them out or buy them something then they don't have to pay me back.
