Getting Older

I'm the mother of four adult kids and I received a really neat email today for those of us who are getting older. I wanted to share it with you but I can't paste it here. It's basically about how we seem to accept ourselves more as we age and allow ourselves to be who we really are. Hopefully, in my case that's a good thing. ha! If I get energetic, I'll type it in a future discussion.

Each year I get older I really see age in only a number. Each birthday I don't really feel older, just a little wiser.

Funny how when I was younger I used to wonder why so many older people were crabby. Now I know! Kids are the reason. LOL. I do think that the world seems to cater too much to the young people. I have decided that I have earned every wrinkle and frown line. At my age, what is the point in being something I'm not. Of course it might be a good joke to play on my kids. I accept the fact that I am old enough to know better and to young to care what any body thinks.

i will be looking forward to reading the contents of the email then. i'm sure it's a great email because a lot of older people i know are pretty discontent with what they have and with who they are.

How true that is..huh? I have much more confidence now that I m older than I could ever imagined when I was younger. I find I don't worry so much what other people think of me. I look at life so differently now. Its one of the plusses of getting older. I'll keep my eye out for you energy surge!
