I have just realised that my drivers license expired 2 weeks ago and I have been driving around the past few weeks oblivious to the fact that if I was pulled up by the police I'd be fined or worse. Have you ever missed a payment on something like a drivers license without meaning to and even worse, were you caught while you had an expired license/insurance/ticket etc???

Did you not get the reminder for your licence?
You had to have just had a birthday as well, as in Queensland your licence expires on your birthday.
I lived in the Caboolture for a year and a half.
My mum had just had her birthday when we moved to Queensland from New South Wales, so she had to pay for a full time of it.
When we found that out, my step-father and I waited until our birthdays, and transferred our licences over then.
The other thing that I did was to travel down to Tweed Heads and get my licence changed over from a provisional licence to a 'full' licence in New South Wales, and then changed over to a Queensland licence.
I think it is a bit sad that you did not notice your licence was due to expire, as like I said, they are due on your birthday.
