Do you brush him regularly? Are you feeding him good quality dog food? Unfortunately summer seems to be the shedding season. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and if I don't vacuum every other day my house turns into a big furball.

If you ever find the answer, please let me know!! I have 3 labrador retrievers. They shed twice a year. They also insist on being on furniture. :o) I have to vacuum and sweep every day, or the hair actually starts to pile up.

I was told to get the stuff called Sheddx, that it takes one month to get into their system but then it works, advailable at vets. and some pet stores.

well regular brushing of the dog with a brush at least twice a day woud ensure all the loose hairs to get accumilated at one place there by reducing the quantity of hairs flying all over the house . the frequency and the intensity of the brushing should depend on the size and the age of the dog hope this helped

One of our rat terriers is a big shedder. Diet can make a big difference, talk to your vet about what food he/she should be on. You can also try adding fish oil capsules to her diet, that will help too. I recently bought a new brush called a Zoom Groom. I can't believe how much hair it pulls off of Bonnie. I've been brushing her with it daily (in the basement or laundry room where it's easy to sweep it up) and it's starting to help.
