I try not to say it unless I mean it! That's especially important with kids. You have to back up what you say or they won't learn the right lessons. There are always circumstances where you may have to give another chance, but they should be rare!

My boys both have brown eyes. Both of them recently had kids, one of them has a blue eyed daughter. The other had a boy, but it's too soon to tell what color his eyes will be. My eyes are green, my husband's eyes were brown.

We will stay at home this year. This past Christmas (Dec 2007) was spent in the hospital with my husband. This year we have 2 brand new grandbabies, so we'll stay at home and celebrate with them. Anything that we do will sure beat last year!

At some point you have to let them work it out themselves. Your two may be a little young for that just yet, but keep that in mind. Once they are both of a similar size you should let them handle their disputes themselves. My boys are now 22 and 26. What you look like should have no bearing on the person that responds to your ad. If a man is judging you by your appearance.... is he the type you would want to go out with anyway? He should be judging you by your heart, your morals, your kindess, etc. And, just for the record, I think you are attractive, you have lovely eyes. Don't be discouraged, there is someone out there for everyone!

Thank you!We've had another new grandchild since I originally posted. He was born on June 26. We have 2 new babies this summer. Both are well and growing really fast.

A similar thing happened to my sopuse and his late wife. She had given up a child for adoption about 30 years ago, just before she met my spouse. She tried to contact the boy when he would have been about 20 years old, but he refused to meet her. Well, she had cancer and died about a year later.
