Hi there jeruse and welcome to mylot. it is a really nice site and you get to have fun and make friends and earn money at the same time. It seems you had a great time in Namibia, I wish I can also visit and may be one day i will. But I think there is a little bit of error in you title up there. Africa is acyually a continent and not a country. it is composed of many countries just like Namibia. It is just like Europe being continent and having countries in it like England, Spain, Italy, France, etc, etc. Cheers and happy mylotting.

I was just going to say that about it being a continent. Loads of people make that mistake and of course it's a massive one to make when you look at the size and the diversity of the continent.

I really love to travel and have been many countries. So far in Africa I have been to Tunisia and Kenya. I would like to go to Namibia very much indeed. I met a German man once that had been there. He really enjoyed it and said he saw many things in his own language. He worked as cabin crew for an airline so he had been to lots of different countries. I would like to see Walvis Bay, Swakopmund, go on safari and ride down some sand dunes.

Namibia is an amazing country - good choice! :) I used to live there. For another seaside town try Luderitz - that's where I lived. Sea and sand dunes :)

If I was to visit anywhere in Africa I would most like to see Egypt. Their culture and history have always facinated me.

In Africa Morocco has to be the country that is the best. It is still a third world country, I grant that, but with the free-trade agreement it has with the US and with the EU (in 2012), being on both the Medeterannian and on the Atlantic (all the ports and all the beaches)... it's sometimes easy to forget that you are in Africa at all.

I was in Morocco 2 weeks ago and I didn't really gel with it. It's not surprising you'd forget you were on the African continent because it's hardly at all like the rest of Africa (central and Southern that is). The culture felt more like asian to me. I'm not sure that forgetting your in africa is at all a good thing.

Asian... that would be the last thing I would even think about when I was in Morocco except maybe when you are in the souks (markets). In North Africa it is very European (and even part of Morocco is STILL European (and the only African nation to be part of the EU). Agadir is very Germanic. South Morocco reminded me of... I'm not sure... very nomadic... isolated... I have not been to a place that is the same but definately not like the rest of Africa, I completely agree with that! Thanks Zelo

I'm glad you enjoyed the beautiful country of Namibia! I often feel like it's my own to feel proud of - although I no longer live there I brought a part of it with me :)
