No idea about it, I doubt whether it is available here in India. Would like to know what exactly it is.

It is a feature that sets the gas to make the car stay at a steady speed without pushing on the gas. It is actually a nice feature.

it kind of freaks me out too. Its weird. I need to be paying attention with my foot on the pedal. Some people really like it, but I have used it a couple of times, but then I always push the break to turn it off because I dont like to use it.

I've used it but prefer not to. I'd rather feel in control of the car. My hubby loves it (for the life of me I can't figure out why).

I have had cruise control on previous cars and very rarely used it. I do not have cruise control on my new car and really do not miss it at all. I prefer driving my car. I know what you mean about it being freaky and scary. Most of my friends do not use their cruise control either. My coworker wished that she had used it one time as she got pulled over for speeding.

Well it is great for that reason of keeping to the speed limits..I will have to get my courage up before I try and use it again.

We use ours a lot when we get out on an interstate. I say we because my husband is usually doing the driving at those times. We have discovered that it can really help save on gas. I do mostly local, around town driving and it would never be necessary for me to use cruise control.

I live 5 hours from my college, so I drive on the interstate a lot. I have found cruise control to be safe so far and I use it all the time. I find it helps me to keep from speeding. There is one stretch of road which is very hilly that I normally turn the cruise control off because it the RPMs go very high going up hills and wastes gas. I have heard that it is dangerous to drive in the rain with cruise control on though because if you hydroplain the car will not know and will only hit the gas harder. I have never had any problems although I try not to use cruise control in the rain unless I am on a very long trip. I've never had any problems using cruise control.

We use ours all of the time, at least when we're on road trips. We go home to visit family a couple of times a year and it's 800 miles each way. We set cruise control and go. It's easy to find yourself speeding, so we use the cruise control to help curb that so that we don't get pulled over for speeding. We don't mess with it in town, since there are so many stop lights, but if we're on a road trip we use it all of the time. Never had a problem with it.

I've used cruise control on a couple of different cars. I used it whenever I remembered to on long stretches of road, like the country road I live next to. I liked doing so because sometimes my leg would need a break from being in one position for so long. However, I have heard never to use cruise control when it is raining out because the vehicle could hydroplane if there is a lot of water on the road. Unfortunately my currently vehicle does not have cruise control and sometimes I miss having this feature.

No I have never really heard any stories about it apart from the jokes about people with rv's leaving them on cruise control to go back and make themselves a cup of tea! lol I have never had a car that has cruise and have only used it once - I quite liked it but I was on the motorway at the time! xxx

I dont have cruise control on the car i have now, but it was on my last one. I never liked it. Actually, i wasnt sure how to use it properly. When i tried it, i think i stuffed up. My hubby likes it. I would just prefer to drive knowing i am the one in control. All these different things they put on cars these days are too confusing for me. Best wishes to you, calais

Cruise control is REALLY useful when you do a lot of long distance driving on the highway. I used to live 2 hours away from my parents, so I would use cruise control all the time when I went to visit them. I had a car for a while that didn't have cruise control, and that made it really hard to drive long distances! I've never had any problems with my cruise control at all. It just keeps me from having to keep my foot on the accelerator all the time, which makes driving less work! :)

Yes, its a great idea and a very useful feature, but it just really scared me, I hate the feeling of not having control.

I do have cruise control on my car. It is the first time that I have ever had it. I will use it on long stretches of driving, but if I find that there is a lot of traffic and I have to take it off more than a couple of times, I will just stick with pushing the gas. It came in handy for my recent trip to Florida, my speedometer is 10 miles off, so when I was driving 60 I am actually going 70. So this feature did help me keep my speed where I needed to keep it.
