Do you have all your fingers and toes?

I was just sitting here and thinking of all the people I know that have lost a toe or a finger or two. My uncle was drunk in a bar in Britain during the second world war and he accidentally shot off a toe. One of my co-workers sawed off two fingers in a machine and another lost one in a car accident. I just seem to know a lot of people missing body parts. How about you, do you have all your body parts? Do your friends?

My uncle who is a chef chopped off his thumb! Well just the nail piece, so he has a stub! My cat has 3 legs, she was initally missing a foot until i chopped most of her leg off, up to the knee and yes it needed to be done. DOnt worry, i worked at a animal hospital at the time! But i am lucky to have all my digits intact! Although a paper cut today could have been much deeper and i coulda lost the middle finger!

Awww yes and she's such a good girl. She's such a wonderful cat eventhough she only has her 3 legs, she gets around pretty well. :)

I have all mine. I know someone who has lost a finger. My hubsnad doesn't wear his wedding ring to work because he could lose his finger. I also know a guy who has 12 fingers...lol.

I have all my fingers and toes and I have to say that I honestly do not know of anyone who has lost any. Although I laughed pretty hard at your uncle. I am sorry for his misfortune, but that is like the funny scene froma steve martin movie or something...

My cousin has a friend who lost a finger, but not in an accident. He was kidnapped and the guys sawed half of his finger to send to his family. Can you believe that?? Well, but it happened to the poor guy. He is pretty fine now, thank God! On the other side, I know a myLot memeber who has six toes! Hahahaha! :D Obviously I won't say who he is, but he posted this in one of my discussions. :) About me, I have everything in the right place. ;)

I have all my body parts, thank GOODNESS. But like you said I do seem to know quite alot of people that are missing some body parts...YIKES One of my best friends is missing a finger. She ran it through a wood splitter when she was only 10 years old. Man That had to hurt. One of my other good friends...well not so close anymore.....BUT when we were in 8th grade...she had her finger in between a matal door and the wall at school (pool room) and I shut the door right on her finger.........I thought I was going to be soooo sick!!!!! They sowed it back on though, thank goodness!

At least they were able to sew it back on. I was doubling my friend on the back of my bike when we wiped out and she broke her arm. She forgave me but it sure was sickening so I can relate to your friends finger episode!

Fortunately I have all of mine. My grandfather has been close to sawing off his fingers a few times, but he's been lucky so far.

What a curious discussion! LOL I still have all my body parts, except missing a few teeth over the years! LOL I don't have any friends missing any either, but my mother has had a mastectomy. Does that count?

Absolutely. It was a slow growing cancer and the surgery got all of it...no chemo or radiation treatments. She's 82 now and still going strong!

Mastectomy...I never even thought about that, I guess it does count. That adds a few more people I know missing parts. Cancer knows no bounds does it. What a horrible thing for a woman to have to experience, I hope your mom is okay now.

Thankfully, I do still have all of my fingers and toes. I have a cousin who accidentally chopped off three of his toes with a lawn mower when he was younger. Ouch! He's lived a normal life, though. I want to know more about the person with 12 fingers!!! LOL
