Hey all of you Michigan folks! What is the scoop on the cemetary that someone is using for a driving range? I heard the tail end of a news story about finding over 700 golf balls in the middle of this cemetary in Washington Township (Not sure where that is) This is awful, and I hope someone will tell me that authorities have caught whoever is hitting them there.

So this is not a new thing where the graves are flat stones that are mow overable and it is designed to driving balls? Also what are they hurting. Churches are not havens anymore and evil goes in and sometimes out freely now, when we could hide within and be safe. Are you sure that there is not a local golf course near by and these are errant balls that are found. Apologies but do not know what is so awful about this.

I didn't catch the whole story, but I don't think so from what I read after trying to research it. Just a shame that people have no more respect for those families who have loved ones buried there.

Eh, it's gotta be Trolls, Yoopers would never do such a thing. I think Washington Township is somewhere near Detroit... but then I don't know lower Michigan well at all. =p I did a quick search on this and didn't find much, but the news stories I did turn up didn't say they had caught anyone doing it, only that they found the balls and that "proper steps would be taken" to make sure it stopped.

I hope so! It would be fairly awful if those that were having driving practice did damage to someone's tombstone. We just had to replace my dad's because of vandals in the cemetary. I just cried at what they'd done to all of those grave markers.
