first off, it's dan brown, not david brown. and it didn't matter to me if they are really based on facts, i just enjoyed the book. i think it was very good. the plot, the twists, the characters, it's really an unusual book.

The movie is good. Yes, it is based on historical data. It is made with perfection. I enjoyed this movie.

Of course you cannot trust him. Just an example: he says somewhere that the Louvre pyramid is made out of exactly 666 panels. If you look that up yourself you will find the number is wrong, there are over 700 of them. And so on, there are plenty more dissimilarities in that book without even begin to discuss the religious issues. That novel is just fiction and should be taken as such.

He based his analysis on the historical facts. It is his analysis. If some one has a different analysis, its all right. So nobody knows exactly what happened. It is all about how he analyzed. So one has to wait till we get an evidence and even Dan Brown didn't claim that they are all true. He said his analysis is based on the fact. He used the term analysis and not facts. So one can forgve him if he does some mistakes
