Update on Kittens

Well all three of them made it through the night and I have two of them eating on their own now the third one I am having problems getting to eat. They love the attention though. As I sit here I have two of them at my feet. The one that won't eat on it's own seems to need to be at my side all the time. I suppose it thinks I am the mommy. They are really cute kittens. One is all black that is the one I am most worried about because it won't eat on it's own and sleeps a lot. Another one is black with white socks and a white chest. The third is all orange. They started purring this afternoon which gives me even more hope that they will be ok. I found out from my daughter this morning that they heard the kittens crying and went to look. There is a gutter type thing that fills with water when it rains and that is where they were stuck. My daughter thinks the momma got caught in the gutter and drown from the down pour we had a couple of days ago. That means the babies went without food for at least 2 days and very high heat. I am glad my daughter brought them home and hope we can make them all healthy again. I wish my camera was working so I could show them to you. Heck even one of my dogs has taken to one of the kittens and follows it whenever it moves. The only problem is is that he is a puppy himself and he doesn't understand why he can't lift it in his mouth. He isn't trying to hurt it I think he just thinks it needs to be beside me all the time like the other two are. So he pushes it with his nose until the kitten comes over to me. It really is funny to watch them. He even licks the kitten. It is funny how other animals know when an animal needs special help.
