Where you live do you feel safe enough to walk home in the dark? I have sometimes, one time just before I left my ex-husband I went to the church to secretly use the phone, and I had to walk home up an alley to get home, very scary!

I do all the time, and I apparently live in a very bad neighbourhood. I'm never bothered. in fact people tend to just say hello in passing. Ive found there is nothing there in the dark that wasn't there in the daylight

Exactly what its like with me, whenever people have had the courage to speak they just say hello or something. I'm not sure if that's because they are scared or something. lol, People never usually say hello during the day.

I've never been scared to walk home in the dark, if in the unlikely situation I was attacked, I would just beat the crap out of them. I like walking around at night, I've walked down alleys, forest cities and loads of places on my own in the dark.

Evil lurks in the dark..I don't even feel safe walking in the daylight anymore, let alone in the dark. Many years ago when I was young and it seemed so much safer, I did and never thought anything of it. Now there is no way I would even contemplate it. I won't even go by car in the dark, too much crime on the streets. Stay safe pheonix..stay in and don't go walking at night.

To ease your mind know that I don't. I am a freelance writer and I work from home. So I am usually writing at night, like last night I was up writing until midnight, and I dont live alone so I am safe there.

I live in a fairly safe city. I not only walk home in the dark I drive a taxi at night and pick up weird people. I don't know yet if I am brave or stupid. I guess time will tell.

Yes, I do agree, time will tell. However, if you treat all with respect and expect the best then you will have no problems. It is onely when we expect the worst that the worst tends to happen.

Yeah, no problem with that. As long as i have a flashlight or lamp with me to see my path home.

Yes, and I have. Luckily its out in the bush and not in the city..It is very dark only the moonlight to lead the way..It does get scarey though when you hear noises in the bushes, but it is only animals..
