Have you ever felt that God was speaking directly to you from the Bible?

Many years ago when I was still in my teens, but working and living on my own,I had an experience that I have never forgotten. I'd had a disagreement with a friend, and lost my temper. I'd said many unkind things,as one often does when angry. By the time,I reached home however,I was already feeling bad, about the whole thing, and knew I had to do something about it. I went to my bedroom where I always kept my Bible, and falling to my knees opened it randomly. Imagine my shock as these words almost seemed to leap out at me, THE WRATH OF MAN WORKETH NOT THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD. (James 1:20) KJV. I felt that God had actually spoken to me,and all the anger left me. Immediately I knew I had to find my friend and make amends. I wish I could say that I've followed that advice ever since that day, but of course I haven't,like everyone else I still become angry sometimes. My head always starts to cool however, when I remember the day God spoke to me with the best advise I've ever been given. I might add here that I searched for weeks after to find that Bible verse again,as I had been too overwhelmed,to note the book, and certainly not the chapter and verse.

i feel like that every time i read the Bible. God speaks to us through his word and this is how we receive revelation about what every verse says. anger was a problem i grew up with all my life. i never knew how to release it until i got saved. Jesus took all of that away. i know now that anger can be controlled and that it can't run my life. great post! witmuch

All The time. The Bible is an awesomem book. I refer to it all the time. Sometimes when I have questions, or I'm feeling distant from the Lord, looking for answers, praying for someone...There are many reasons and everytime I get my answers , I pray for the Lord to guide me this way and I really get my answers whether I like the answers or not. The Lord reveals himself to those who seek him.You just have to have faith and know our Father is always there to guide us.We just have to simply ask.

Hi Phlamingho, thanks for your comment. Many people have never read the Bible. It's a personal thing I guess.
