We've all heard them, the TV infomercials! "For just 19.95....." Have you ever caved in and bought something from one of these infomercials? What did you buy and was it worth the money or was it a joke?

No why I haven't my mother has. She bought that stupid rubber broom that was to pick up pet hair off the rug. She paid $20.00 bucks for something that just pushed the dirt around, LOL. Here it is on amazon for $3.99 now! http://www.amazon.com/SEEN-TV-217412-Sweep-Broom/dp/B0001VGFJ8/ref=sr_1_13/104-0667731-3931966?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1185296499&sr=1-13

Yep! Got sucked into buying a veggie spinner chopper thingy. AND, I got sucked into the "If you buy one NOW, you get two!" So, I sent one to my little sister for Christmas and my mother told me how much my sister hated it. I had to agree, it was horrible. It was so light weight that when you cranked the handle on top, it flipped around the counter even if you tried to hold on to it!!

We bought this really cool thing...I've already forgot what it's called. It opens like a waffle maker and has 2 little sections. You can put in veggies or left overs in the wells and then pour bisquick on top and make little omelet type things. The infomercial showed a jillion different ways to use it and even baked cake in it. So we bought it. The wells are smaller than you think and since you can only do 2 at once, it takes forever to make enough for a meal. I think hubby and I used it only once or twice and then there it sits. And it wasn't just $19.95! LOL

I haven't as yet, but with too much spare time on my hands I get increasingly tempted. I find myself watching channels like QVC and Bid-up TV... suddenly I REALLY WANT the pointless guitar shaped mirror covered in seashells. Its awful. I have more money than sense at the moment :( x

I only ever bought one time, but it was at one of those "As Seen On TV" stores. I bought the ink jet refill kit. I thought it was a good deal, sure saved me a lot of money on refill ink for the printer. My daughter bought those clear storage bags that 'shrink.' You put the clothes, whatever, in and attatch the vaccuum to it and take the air out. I thought the price was a little much, but boy, those things really work! She got me some and I've got my out of season bedspreads in one, and extra bed pillows in another, they are so flattened it's amazing the space that was wasted before. (Like I gained a new closet!) They fluff right back up when you take them out. I must say I thought it was a joke, but I ended up very impressed. Those are the only things that either of us ever got infomercial wise.

I agree with you joyful, my daughter got some of the shrink bags at Wally, and they are great! She stores many off-season clothes in a very small space!

I bought my shrink bags from www.haband.com the first set was 20 but only 15 for each additional, so that worked out nice.

Nope, never gave in and never really had a desire to. I have a friend who buys them all. LOL she just loves the channel on TV that just sells things...What is it called?? I cant think of it but she loves it. She has a credit card through it. Her husband took it away from her as she was purchaing too much stuff. She told him "That is ok. I have the number memorized anyway." LOL

Okay, okay, I confess! I have bought at least one item from an infomercial. LOL It was a food dehydrator. It worked okay, but it took too long to do it's job. Now I have another dehydrator that is a different brand which works so much better and faster than my first one. And no, I did not buy this one through an infomercial! :P LOL

my folks got me the many pieced magic bullet set about 2 years ago or so, I've yet to use it. I opened the box once and was intimidated by all the numerous pieces I think it has some 5 different colored blenders in various sizes.

nope, I've never bought any! In fact when i see them on TV i switch channels! i think these can be very persuasive at times and so i try to keep temptation miles away. especially the jewellery - i tend to look upon all this with skepticism and it's hard to tell wehther it's authentic and unlike a bricks and mortar dealer, these people cannot be found for refunds!

Yes I have and when I got it, it broke within a week. I will never buy anything else from the tv. And these refills for life, they dont tell you that you pay for shipping that is the same price if you buy the refills. It is all a rip off if you ask me.
