letters from an inmate.....

I cleaned my stuff this morning and decided to throw away those things that I no longer need and found the old love letters sent to me by an inmate duringmy internship in college for our guidance and couseling for prison exposure. I enjoyed my time there talking with the inmates we conducted a series of interviews for our case study and we were assigend to one inmate for that particular case study. The name of the inmate is Dampoy, got imprisoned for killing a person during a fiesta dance party or what we usually call bayley in our dialect, he was imprisoned together with his friends, he said he was just accessory to the crime and plead innocent of the crime. The interview went on for a couple of weeks and we talk an hour everyday and he revealed his secrets, hislife, lis family his love life and many others. For me it was just a professional client to counselor relationship, but as the internship period was about to end he sent me his first love letter. It was a letter of a deep love that may be blossomed out of the talks we had but I was sorry for him. Even when I was no longer assinged in the prison he asked my classmates who were assinged there to give me his letters. I ansewered his letters with respect and revealed freindship. The letter kept coming even when I graduated in college and even when I was already working from another city near our house. I asked mother to return the letters and she refused to recieve them. I was scared for the last letter he sent saying that when he will be free he going to hunt me, yikes, but the latest news I heard tha he was sentenced for life imprisonment. Now I pray that he will finally find peace and would find the love of his life.
