laptop or desktop?

me and my girlfriend are planning to buy a laptop....
but i have a second thought of buying a desktop cause it is more cheaper than laptop...
what do you think could you please help me...
i think i do need your advices regarding this matter...

i like both.. but i prefer desktop more.. i want laptop because its stylish.. i like the pink notebook i've seen on a magazine.. and yes its more expensive than having a desktop..

It depends. Do you need to carry it around?
If you need to carry it around then the laptop is a better choice.
But if doesn't need to be carried around, then the desktop is better.
I have both actually.
But, I have always been told that desktops are better because they could be upgraded while the laptop is disposable (meaning if there's a higher thing going, you can't actually upgrade laptops).
