Do you eat the cake nice or smash it all over?

My husband and I agreed beforehand not to do the cake-smashing thing. Our friends were all annoyed with us over it, actually, saying we were no fun, but it was our special day and we weren't going to do something we just thought of as humiliating. =p

i eat cake nicely.. but sometimes, im like a little girl who needs someone to feed her.. hehe.. since i lov chocolates, i really savor each bite of it..

I made my husband promise before the wedding not to smash the cake in my face. I didn't want a bunch of pictures taken of me with stuff all over my face. So he didn't smash the cake on my face. Several of our friends said we should have, but it wasn't something that I wanted done and luckily, my husband respected that enough to not do it.

Well we don't have this kind of traditions in our marriages as I am Mulsim. But the same tradition is when we celebrate birthdays and I prefer not to slam the cake but to eat nice with sharing bites.

When I married my husband it was a quickie wedding with no cake but a couple months later while a bunch of my family was in town my dad through a big bbq for us a t this really great park space that he rented for the day (we have bbqs for everything) and we had cupcakes that we decided before hand to smash into eachothers faces, it was fun and a great memory.

I usually eat the cake nicely. Slicing bit by bit. I hate smashed cakes. It looks yucky and i don't think I can stand eating it that way. But if my kids does because they are laying, I make it sure they eat it up.

We played nice at our wedding. We just ate the cake and then my hubby put a little dot of icing on my nose. LOL...I dared him to get any on my dress. I know it's all in good fun, but some couples go way too far. Cake gets smashed everywhere and you're looking all messy in pictures. I know it's fun though. Maybe I'm a fuddyduddy.:P

I would love to say that our cake experience was anice one but it wasnt. I tried very hard to keep it form happening but I failed and being weeker them my hubby I got the worst of it all up my nose and and in my hair, so there I was running off to get a shower and everyone else was enjoying my reception(it was at my home so showereing was easy)

I pretended that I was going to be nice with the cake, and then I smashed it all over his face. I have pictures of it and I think it's so funny. I wish I had a picture on my laptop to share of it. HAHA! He was really mad at me! LOL
