Hi everyone, I bought a new guest bed recently, and it's really cool. It has one super single mattress on top, and one single mattress below. So it can sleep two people separately yet save space. and the unique part is, the bottom layer can be propped up to become a king sized bed! or slightly larger than king, since two singles make a king. the picture explains. it's an automatic mechanism to lift the bed up to the same height too. some sort of spring. so no assembling required. quite thrilled by this bed! So we can have couples over, unrelated folks over, etc etc, all permutations covered! Have you heard of this nifty deal?

Actually, I do. I saw it at IMM the other day. It is really neat. But the mattress that came with the package is only the normal foam ones. I dunno if the thicker pocketed spring mattresses can fit onto the bed or not. It is really space saving. Especially if you are getting it for the room that is seldom used. My wife and I were considering it for a while, but decided against it cos the mattress that it can accommodate is limited.

That being the case, you got a pretty good deal there. A good spring mattress with a space saving bed that can be changed and configured to suit more people when the need arises. Where did you get your set again? How much did you get it for? I still have one more room to furnish. May consider getting one for that room. ;)

I got those bed for my sister house about a year ago. Its kind of saving space for them as the bed was accomodated in their prayer room. It will be opened up if any other family members decide to overnite there as my sister home is our family HQ. Oh yes, its KING KOIL too. I had been a king koil fans for more than 10 yrs and my two homes all have kingkoil pocketed spring or spinalguard mattress. BTW, I only paid little bit less than $500 with 2 pillow thrown in for that price. Its quite a bargain though.

Yes, you are right. It can be level to the single one to make into king size. It a good deal cause I happened to knew someone from King Koil. That why I paid that much for it. Its kind of 40% off.

you mean your sister's bed's bottom bunk can be elevated to the height of the upper bunk to form a king sized bed too? if so that's a really good deal! : )

That's a very cool concept. We just bought two singles ourselves to combine into a king-size bed, too. The way our stairs are, you can't fit a one piece mattress bigger than a full-size up the stairs, so the two twins worked great for us, too. Ours can't store away if we wanted the extra space for some reason, so this goes one step better.

that's great. i had a pull-out in my old home, and that was convenient too, but this one is better cos it can be a KING. :)

Wow that is so cool and such a great idea. Hmmm I might look into it as later in the year we are going to replace my sons old bed with a new one. This would be so ideal as he can sleep on it as a single, then when we have visitors or he has friends over, it can turn out to two singles and or even a king! Wonderful. Where did you buy this? and please don't say they only sell this in Singapore (haha)!

Hmmm.. yes. the unique part is to be able to move the lower mattress up to form a big bed! Thanks for the information. It is a great idea to have one at home. Where did you get it? Price?
