Why is suddenly a must see and must feel hot spot among local and foreign travel. As tourist destination Bohol still cant compare to say, Boracay, Cebu, or even Baguio. All that was knowin about for the longest time were the chocolate hills and those cute animal. Today however it looks like foreigners and locals discovery the pleasures offered by bBohol. From only one or two major hotels or resorts a decade ago, the island, the 10th largest in the Philippines , now has more than 20 tourist establishments. Aside from swimming on the beach, scuba diving in Balicasag and dolphin watching on Pamicilan island have become main attraction. With the help of the Metropolitan museum of Manila it is now promoting its rich cultural history and wonders as well.

Been there and I would say that the place has lots of potential becoming the next tourist spot here in the Philippines. Me, my wife, and my parents with our son did go there about a year ago and stayed there and I would say it was all that pleasant and the trip was well spent. Although we were not able to explore the whole island but seeing the chocolate hills and their very unique animal "Tarsier" was one great experience in the island to discover.
