Anyone Here Have A MySpace Page?

Those of you who have pages on MySpace, how often do you log in and check for messages and friend requests? I'm on MySpace at least three times a day. I've got a regular page and a music page to promote my art and music. Those of you who don't have pages, what is your reason? I love MySpace, and have made a lot of cool friends there. It's a lot of fun just like MyLot except you don't get paid there!! LOL!
Just wanted your thoughts on MySpace, please share!

I'll send you the link to my music page since that's the one I check the most, but I also have two other pages (one for personal and one to promote my artwork) you can add me as a friend on all three if you like. I'll send the link in a message to you when I get done here.

I have a myspace page, i log in once a day if I have time, mainly to talk to a couple of my friends and to talk to my kids when they are at thier dads house.

i have myspace page and it is ok i like myspace because if you looking for someone you can find them if you know who you looking for but me one day i was just looking on there and i put my old friend name and her pic pop up and then i just add her and now she do not know me but you know what that is ok will gey her soon she just do not know but i will get at her

For me, MySpace is basically a way to keep tabs on the various bands/musicians I'm interested in. I get messages from them when they have new recordings, tour dates, etc. and I can go to my my friends list and instantly see what they're up to, rather than going to each musician's individual Web page. And on each band's MySpace page I can find tour dates, listen to songs, and in some cases even buy songs.
What kind of music do you play? I'm always on the lookout for new bands, etc...

Cool, I'll check out your page. Folk/acoustic/Americana is one of my favorite genres, and I especially like female singers. Some of my favorites include Patty Griffin, Patty Larkin, Shawn Colvin, Suzanne Vega, Jonatha Brooke, Jess Klein, Dar Williams, Michelle Shocked, Jenny Lewis & the Watson Twins, Feist, etc. etc. etc...

I check mine every few days, usually not unless I get an e-mail saying I have a new message or comment. If anyone wants to be friends you can send me a request, my page is set to private so just let me know you are from myLot!! Thanks!!

I did have a myspace at one time. I got tired of the spamming that I was getting everyday. I then started up my own myspace style community site. Like myspace it is free and has more security. Unline myspace I am the owner of the site and I get to know my members. I started the site because I love to meet new people. My community is growing fast. My space just deleted like 100k members without reason. I mean they just deleted them without saying a word to the members. I guess they did have a reason but did not tell anyone. I think it's neat that you took the initiative to create your own page when MySpace wasn't meeting your needs. They do have a spam problem, but it isn't nearly as bad as when I first joined them back in '05. Tom's been pretty good at deleting the spammers quickly.
I'll check your site out. I'm always looking for new places to meet people and promote my artwork and music.

I have a MySpace page but rarely go there now. I am so busy that I can't keep up with everything. My poor page is more of a networking page now with links to everywhere I write.
I did meet some cool people but I also met some real nuts. There are A LOT of young boys who apparently like old women like me and I am NOT interested. I say that very clearly but they don't care. Still, I will return to MySpace and blog and catch up about once a month now. When life settles down, I will do so more often. Even the places I work for have pages there now so it's really a big networking site for me.
I wish I had more time. :(

I've been using MySpace for networking too. I try to promote my music and just made a new page to promote my artwork. I'm also working on promoting my favorite Presidential candidate on my personal profile there.
If you'd like to add me as a friend, that'd be cool.
I'll PM you the link to my MySpace pages and you can check them out. I'd like to check your's out too, it sounds like it has a lot of links on it.
