I am working on a certain client's company and will produce their financial statements for the month of July this week or early next week. My boss just told me minutes ago that I should make 'good' at my performance with this client because if everything went well, our firm will be the one to handle another account which is also another company that they own. All of a sudden, I felt the rush of pressures on my veins. My gosh! I also handle other 2 clients - but they are just minor ones and only small companies. But of course, they also require the same 'quality' of performance like those to big companies. *breath in... breath out* ------------------------ "Confidence is both a choice and a gift. If you didn't receive the gift, then you can MAKE THE CHOICE. And when you make the choice, you RECEIVE THE GIFT." ------------------------- *wHew!*

Nice thought that you put in for the word "confidence" your confident potential is enourmous and this will make you earn a good name in our company and career.best regards.. I too face such hectic days at work and at home sometimes.I just relax and plan for how to carry out my work and then proceed. If somethings goes wrong i feel depressed.Inorder to cope up i interact with friends and family members and get releif from my pressure. Its unavoidable to stay away from pressure and one who strive hard to yield the benefit gets the compliment. When we acheive & feel the happiness..the pressure we had before goes nothing.

Slow down and take time out. Life’s hectic pace is wearing us out. Set aside time in your day to plan your activities. Without this time, you will always be responding to the urgent, which is not always the important. Work out what is important to you and make sure that you give enough time to your important tasks. Take one task at a time. We are not like the PCs which can do much multi tasking activities. Concentrate on one task at a time and complete it before moving on to the next. Concentrate on the present. The ability to stay focused will give you a sense of accomplishment as you see the completed tasks grow. It can also help you enjoy life more, by applying this principle to every activity you do. If you are taking a bath then focus on that moment and don’t waste it by thinking about what you should or could be doing instead. Precious times are lost when we forget to focus on the moment in hand. These I have learned from my previous work being the over-all secretary of a private firm in Saudi Arabia. How would you take a job like mine which required much time and attention. It seemed everyday was a rush day. But I learned to cope up these pressures by doing the tips I gave you earlier.

Well the best thing to do is not to pressure yourself too much. Just take it easy and think of the rewards you gain from the hard work instead of the burden..that will alleviate you.Thinking about the problem will drain you a lot and create worry, which will also create more problems.Just enjoy your job if u really like it and start engaing in Yoga and Tai Chi to alleviate your stress

Hi satansoldat_666! Thank you for the word of advice. I really need it. You're right, I might go ask my Dad to go with me jogging first thing in the morning tomorrow at the park. I really need to let some pressures out of my system and stay focus on the present. Take care and God bless!

No problem girl.I myself had the saem probs which is why i know how to deal with some of them.Yes, life can be very stressful but suffering doesnt need to be part of us.Pain is a bummer, but suffering is optional. We dont need to suffer, we can reverse it in our own lives. Great idea, go jogging with ur dad early morning.I suggest u go before the sun rises so u can inhale very fresh air since there aint much pollution during this time and you cannot tire yourself easily from the scorching heat of the sun

You seems to be the more reliable person in your company. That might be the only reason for your boss to give the most responsible job to you. Cheer up for that. This is not something to get pressured up , but you should be more pleasured up. Give it your best shot and you will see it for yourself. All the best.

You can do it! Your boss counted on you because he knows you can do it. I bet he reviewed your works and qualification which made him think that he can count on you regarding this task. You've got the skills and lucky you he picked you out of the rest. Which means YOU REALLY CAN DO IT! Your boss trust on you so also trust on yourself. :) This is what you do and this is your opportunity to stand out...an opportunity to how what you're made of..Take this task as a challenge, if you pass it then good for you, if you don't God gives a lot of opportunity so learn from your mistakes.. :)

We live a life where we cannot avoid pressure or any problem in our way.. It will always come, expectedly or unexpectedly.. For me, I just handle this things lightly, instead of looking at it as a burden or struggle I simply view it as a challenge and test.. I am the kind of person who loves challenges so I actually enjoy when I have encountered such things.. I handle it by simply facing it with pure honesty and almost all the time I find myself winning and laughing at the end..

Life has many pressures. I have poor health and no employment. Still I keep my head up, with faith, working everyday to improve my self and to improve my circumstances. That's all any of us can do.

Have you ever experienced a day without stress and pressure? How was it? I guess it was probably very boring. Stress and pressure are part of life, they are just like the food you eat. How you take it in depends on whether how fast or how slow you can assimilate it. With the fast pace of life brought about by advances in technology and new business concepts, workers must face the reality that change is the only CONSTANT in the workplace. To address stress and pressure in the workplace and in life, analyze your work and life styles, and CHANGE the things you do that creates stress and pressure in your life. Be PROACTIVE always, anticipate what your boss needs and do it before he even asks for it. If you've been in your job for sometime you must by now know your boss very well. Remember that when you are working, you should not only be good at the work you're doing but you should also be good at the work that your boss is doing. Someday you might inherit it. NOW is the time to work for it. Good Luck!

Hi chen463344628! Not really that "great"... But a big account is on my shoulder. Getting the contract on the big company now lies on my shoulder - I have to do better in my performance right now. Thanks for the well wishes! You, too. :) Take care and God bless! =)

I am under pressure every day. It's nuts really how much I take on and then how stressed I get. I deal by NOT putting off things that need doing (A trait I tend to have). I try to do the most important stuff first and go in order and when I feel a flip out and a "I can't do this!!!" coming on, I just take a deep breath and remind myself that it isn't the worse thing in the world if I can't do everything. Life will go on even if I miss a deadline. I also try to take about 30 minutes a day just for me -- doing something I enjoy that isn't related to anything that stresses me. I feel guilty at times but my brain deserves a break! And breathing in and breathing out sure helps. lol. The great thing is that there is a rush when a big project is done. I feel so accomplished and relieved. Then I take on another one. lol.
