I am one of the people who bought the book on friday night/saturday morning and read it that weekend. How long is long enough to wait to discuss the book without causing problems for other readers.

I think that if people don't want the book spoiled they shouldn't read discussions about it until they're done reading it. No one "causes problems for other readers." The responsible reader should sequester him or herself from all things related to the book if they are that afraid of spoilers.

I am suprised that that there was no major discussions and details given away to this day in the media and its been like 4 weeks since it came out.

Maybe a week or two. And it is always better to start with a Spoiler Warning so anyone who doesn't want to know the plot can stop reading and jump to a different discussion.

Yes I finished it by Tuesday, enjoyed it too, but it is not really quite the same as the others - is it?

Hmmmm, I think that about a fortnight is sufficient. By this time, everybody connected to the world by some type of media, will have already found out, how the plot ends. But look at movie descriptions and critics. They never tell the outcome, no matter how old the film is! So a SPOILER warning before giving details, can't be wrong.

I would say give people a few days at most maybe 2-3 weeks. This way if they are so big of fans they will have bought it and read it.
