Can you train a furby?

My son just got a hand-me-down Furby from my nephew. I can't get the darn Furby to do anything, but my son was getting it to sign and say all sorts of things. (And he's only 14 months old! LOL) Anyway, I was under the impression that you can train them to do stuff, but we don't have a booklet so i'm not sure if you really can. Have you trained a Furby to do anything? He says weird stuff to that is supposed to mean something, but I have no idea what. I never thought i'd have to worry about decoding a Furby. The joy of parenting. LOL

You are funny. The thing of it is, is you are trying to hard and your son is just doing what comes natural without thinking about it..lol...I don't have a clue how to help you..there must be an online site about Furbies..good luck...

Ha! That's funny. Well we actually had 2 of them when my daughter was born, she got them for christmas. We kept one in the box and took the other one out to use it. Me and my husband were so intrigued with this thing we tried and tried but could never get it trained right I guess. We did figure out when it was hungry and how to feed it but after sometime it started totally freakin' out and making these scary noises. So I than freaked out and got rid of the things and gave them away. They were just too scary for me, it even scared my daughter one day she screamed and started to cry, so there was no way I was keeping it after that!

LOL! That is funny! My boy loves his furby (who is still earless!). The darn thing still calls me boring. I'm still trying to find him another new one for Christmas though. I seen a really LARGE furby in the store last week, and I almost bought it but figured I would wait.

I really have no idea on the Furby thing, but just goes to show how much you can learn from a child. Good luck with the new toy! :)

Thanks! I think our furby needs a furby buddy. Going to see about getting him another one. They are pretty cheap on ebay. Thanks for posting!
