I think it is a bad thing and we may have to start our own gardens so we know it is safe to eat!

The food recalls are scarey. We do have a small garden and also a couple fruit trees and honestly I enjoy the food from those 100% more than store bought - taste better and know their safe.

What is really scarey is all the stuff from China that is being recalled. Now there is tries being recalled that do not have safety threads in them. I head about this on CNN this morning. China also is putting to much lead in their pain on toys for children. Makes you wonder if China has something against American's. If China does not watch its P's and Q's it will lose out on it's exports to the USA.

Well dawn i think it is awful, you have to be very careful what you buy and eat nowdays.I'm sure that they are evn trying to kill our pets too....It would be a great idea if we all had gardens...i am very luckey to live by a very large vegtable stand where this man grows his own garden and sells vegtables from his garden.I buy as many fresh vegtables as i can because you cannot be to careful these days.

Maybe a hydro garden would be better as it is safest unless the water is contaminated too. lol. I think it is good to have food recalls. It at least alerts us and make us more careful of the food we buy and eat. As for the producers, it helps to make them more social conscious. It is a win-win for all.

Yes, it is good to eat home-grown food. I was once talking to a dietician about this and she said that during World War 2, the UK couldn't get it's supplies because the Germans kept sinking the supply ships. Everybody started growing their own food in their gardens, and foods like sugar etc. was in short supply. Apparently the health of the nation was much better with this. :-)

I think it's disgusting,...it seems every week you hear of a new recall of food..and I think you're right..I think it's going to reach a point where will quite literally going to have to go back to getting a farm and raise one's own food..at least one would know what they were getting
