Too many young people are ruining their lives with drugs and alcohol. What can parents, teachers and society do to guide children away from self destructive behaviours? does education work? A loving home life doesn't seem to. How do we deal with our addicted children? I would like to hear what you think.

It's start from home to community but not from community to home! I mean the parents have more responsibility to teach they own children! So the problem of addicted children must be all together problem! But,the parents must be a master to deal with the problem!

Actually that is the same question that I am asking myself and i guess every parents' concern over their children. With the influence outside that is so strong sometimes the influence of a preant is not enough now. But then we parents are just people like any other human being around. We do our best to try to educate them the best we can to avoid those substances. There is really an infallible solution to that but be the best parent to your children. Giving them time to be close to us parents and giving them space to grow on their own by not stiffling them with our being protectiveness. A little liberty for them to know things on their own is not harmful I guess for as long as you still is on top of what is happening in him/her.
