Does discussions make your number move up or comments!

Does the discussions you start make your number go up or does the comments? I myself have been trying to figure out the method to the madness! Does your comments have to be a certain number of sentences in order for it to count? Well inquiring minds would like to know! Who has the answers?

Both responses and discussions will increase your post count (the number in paranthesies), but comments added to replies do not. Someone must post an answer to your discussion before it is counted, so they don't always get counted right away like the replies do.

Ok thanks for this clarification. Great all those replys i did wont count! I gotta love mylot each more everyday.

The replies do count but additional comments (like what I'm typiing right now) don't. And I'm only talking about your post count. Supposedly, adding good comments will still increase your earnings, event though they don't show up in the count - all part of that crazy earnings calculation thing thay do here, I guess. :-)
