What is your opinion of snakes?

If you see a snake, what is your reaction? Do you run away? Do you just watch it? Do you try and kill it? I prefer to watch it and let it goon being one of God creatures that is doing man kind a great service by getting rid of rats, mice, and other animals that carry diseases. Here in the United States of America there are no snakes that will try and attack a human without provocation. If a snake has a way to get away it will try to get a way but if you corner the snake and it has not way to get away it will try to protect itself any way it can. Usually this is by biting but sometime it is by producing a musk that is not so pleasant to smell. So let us know what you think of snakes, do yo like them or try to kill any that you see?

I like snakes they kill other bothersome pests like what you said rats, mice,and other pests besides that I think there cool.

We owned a sugar cane farm and the house was quite close to the cane. We had many snakes come to the house, especially in either wet or very dry seasons.
Green snakes were left alone, but most were quite venomous and when they felt trapped they were aggressive. Because I had small children who played outdoors, I killed every venomous snake that came around the house (and a couple that actually entered the house).
In their own environment, snakes will run from away from humans, but not when they are cornered out of their environment or when someone unknowingly intrudes in their space. I would prefer not to kill them, but the safety of my young children was my first and only concern.

I normally let them go their way and will never try to provoke them by no means. I believe most of the creatures attack others out of fear that we may attack them. Every creature has the same right to live here or better say must live here to maintain the ecological balance.

I think I will wait until it go away.I know if I run away,it might try to attack me.I don't want to be bitten by it,especially I can't recognize whether it's poisonous.

i do really not hate snake but if i am in a sight of a snake bu sudden i will cry

From the day I was born, I have despised snakes, and they frighten me. When I was a child, I frequently had nightmares about them. Whilst I have moved on, I must still say that I dislike them, and am still reluctant to touch the non-venomous ones they parade at zoos.

I hate snakes, they frighten me..If I see one I usually would stand there and see where it is going, or I will try and control the dogs, because they want to attack it..I try and leave it be..But we did have to kill one because it was just right next to the house..way too close..It has all the bush and no need to be near the house, I have children so it was very scarey.

i don't like snakes, but i will not try to kill one if i see it. if it looks like its going to attack me then i would run away. lol. where i grew up we saw snakes on a regular basis so i'm used to them. but i used to have bad dreams about them alot so i'm not fond of them.

i honestly dont mind snakes like Non-venimos Ones but whne i See Like A Rattler Then im pretty sure id be runnin i just dont really find snakes that frightening like if you see yhrm in your garden or ditch or woods i only miind them if im like slepin and one got on me pretty sure id be frightened Ha anyway im not really afraid of snakes in certain situiations

With the exception of the zoo, I have never seen or touched a snake in my life. I think that they would give me the same feeling as spiders do, they would make my skin crawl and I would probably run in the other direction. That said, I am still an animal lover and would never harm any living thing unless I absolutely had to.

I am very scared of the snake. I'm afraid whether it'll bite me, if so, whether I will be poisoned after that. And what I fear about the snake is when they die, their boby can also move for some time. It is so horrible to me.

I am very afraid of snakes. I will never hold a snake in my hands even if it is a tame one. The most I will do is touch it a little if somebody is holding it out for me. I don't like the way a snake glides on the floor. It makes me feel eerie. Lol. And the sound of the snake makes me tremble with fear. Nope, if I met a snake I will not have the courage to go near it. Someone else would have to kill it for me.

I LOVE snakes!! When I see one I have to pick it up and show my kids. We turn it into a learning experiance. Later we let him go. My husband on the other hand is Scared of them. He will run away if he sees one! LOL I find it funny. I dont see what the big deal is with snakes. They are just another creature trying to survive in the world. And like you said they wont attack unless provoked. I would own one if my husband wasnt so freaked out.

I know snakes do us a service but i am so scared of snakes that if i see one i run away and if at all possible i will kill it.Now my husband is like you ,he will watch it and he will say it has a special place and that they do us a great service...but i am so scared of snakes its like my heart stops and i just have to kill it or i might run into it again.I really am sorry i feel this way but i just cannot help it.I am totally like out of my head when i see one.

snakes are very dangerous creation of God and if i will ever see a snake infront of me i gonna die or atleast i ll gonna faint with fear i can never watch even snakes on tv
