Do you do your part in helping protect the environment?

Hi. Yes we do actually, our whole town is so into recycling and contributing to keeping it green... But then we're only a little beach town, out of all the industrial cities that ignore or choose to pollute, in order to get paid or for there precious smog creating factories to run, at least I can say we do our best to keep it fresh and green on our side of town, actually all over new zealand theres a strive for a healthy enviroment and country... But then we also have alot of pollution too up in the bigger cities...

Our town has recycling bins by our town hall, so I separate things and store them in the garage and then take them up to the recycler. (Newspapers, cardboard, cans, glass, etc.) I take used motor oil and batteries, etc, to an automotive store that does recycling of those things. I also re-purpose things so that there's not as much waste going into landfills. I consolidate trips, and do my stops in order so that I don't waste gas (or time), and my daughter and I carpool when we go shopping. I don't use air-conditioning in the house, and in the winter I try and save fuel by keeping the heat down, and close off unused rooms so that it saves even more fuel. I plant trees and grow houseplants to help re-oxygenate the air. I try to live 'green' whenever possible, and try to teach the youngers in my family to do the same. We should all do what we can to make a positive difference so that our future generations can enjoy this big great earth in the future.

I don't know if i am always aware all the time. but i am willing to have a part of protecting the environment. I do recycling of my waste. I am willing to plant a trees for clean air, if only we are in province. I think we should plant trees to avoid flood and landslide. The government must have a initiative on this, and as a citizen of this country i am willing to have a part on this.

I recycle everything that I can. I also don't drive. When I start looking for a job later this month, I'll be looking for something in the area that I can walk to. The only time I use a car is when my ex comes and takes us out.
