I love writing and I can tell a tall tale when I want too, especially when I need to get out of trouble.
I would love to write a book one day but I always have a tendency to not finish what I started.
Do any of you do that too?
Have any of you that started one, then stopped ever actually finished?

Sometimes I have the same tendency as you have. I started to think that I could finish what I had decided to, but found that I started to lose interest in going on with it and left it half done. I think whatever we do, we need to have perseverance, without which we cannot make success one after another. I am going to improve myself for that and so I am.

I'm trying to do at least a paragraph a day.
So far so good.

I have finished writing two novels. It's the editing part that is hard and holds me back. It is so boring and you really get sick of reading the same story over and over again in order to edit it to be the best it can be. I am determined to finish the one I am working on now (6th edit). I even had someone draw up a mock cover of my book to inspire me.
Joining a writing group has helped me tremendously. I have made some good friends and we motivate each other and give good advice and help in areas where we are weak.

Yes I am also found of writing , I use write small peoms in my school days. And if I want I can write a real good exciting stories which many people may find interesting, but like you even I never come to any ending. Life is so busy that till you can really relax and think of continuing with your writing, it is too late and you loose the track as well as inerest. I think I will write a book when I will be retired.....but that will be another 15 years.......lol

I do it all the time. Actually, I recently started one that has some mild basis on my life (particularly recent events). I've got a couple of pages done so far. I haven't had a lot of time or energy lately for creative writing lately.
