If you could change one thing about your house, what would it be?

Personally, I don't like the way that my home cools in the summer. Actually, I should say that only certain rooms get cool while other rooms continue to be unbearably hot. So, that means only part of the house is usable during the hottest part of the year. So, if I had to change one thing, I'd probably rearrange the rooms so that there was a better air flow. Or, at least install central air conditioning. As is, we are limited to window air conditioners. But, that would certainly take a very large investment on my part for the upgrade.
So, what would you change about your home? Would you add more rooms or subtract a few? Do you wish you had bigger windows or a better view? Would you set your house back further from the road, if you had a choice? Please share your likes and dislikes about the place you call home.

If I could change one thing about my apartment, it would be the insulation between my apartment, and the one above me. At least I blame it on lackluster insulation. I can smell the smoke from my upstairs neighbors when they smoke. I can also tell you what they had for dinner. For breakfast this morning, they had sausage. I would love to have no clue about the smells upstairs.

I would put better insulation in my walls. My house is freezing in the winter time. It is what they call a plank house. And I would put a bathroom in the cellar, since our family room with pool table is there.

i wish our house had a bigger kitchen and that it was laid out a little better. the way it is laid out, its really cramped where all the appliances are and its hard to put the rest of the stuff anywhere other than where it is because of radiators and doors being in bad spots.

Well, for me personally, i don't like the settings of our bathroom, coz i looks like very small and i can't move freely inside the bathroom.
So ifever i have the chance to change whatever in my house.
I would say that, it's the bathroom, i want to maximize it and give more space inside of it.

The one thing I would change about our house is to have a two-car garage. My wife puts her Jeep in the garage, so mine sits out. When we were both working, I would have to scrape ice or snow off the windshield during the winter. Now that I am retired, it doesn't matter so much. We can take whichever vehicle we want to. But it still would be nice to have them both in the garage, especially when the hail storms come through.

I will put in my all walls motivation quotes and bible verses so when I woke up or see anything on wall thought that I get motivation in my life & I want Holy Spirit surrounded to my house so no one can hurt me

I would add more rooms- I want to build on to the house- It's a bi-level right now- There are no rooms over the kitchen- So I'd like to build over the kitchen- Make another bedroom and move the bathroom upstairs- put in a jacuzzi tub that sort of thing- I'm saving money to do just that!

The fact that it requires constant attention! I wish that I could push a button, and suddenly the plastic piece on the dishwasher that broke is repaired, my dishes are washed, and the spot where the cat tore up the carpet are all fixed and taken care of! Ha ha, wishful thinking, right?

I would rather build a new home than renovate because it's more expensive in renovating a house. It takes a lot of labor to be done before you could start the renovation. At least when you built a new one, you already have the plan and from that you can already figure out if there's something to be changed or improved and at the same time you can manage the building process and talk to the head or foreman or the engineer.
In our present house, there's a lot to change even the roofing and room design as well as the staircase. I want an open view of the staircase.

If i could change anything about my house id add some more rooms, and doors. My house doesnt have doors in ever room other than the bathroom and bedrooms. Its an old house so the living room, kitcen and dining room is all connected.

My neighbors!!! Getting rid of them would make it so much nicer and cleaner and quieter. It really would be like a breathe of fresh air... well one can always dream. Other than that maybe some more counter space in the kitchen and a bigger fridge.

honestly i would change everything, its not the best house nor my dream house though im still glad that i could stay in it, but i have always wanted to change the design and put my own thoughts and details in to it, and i would like to add a room for my cats.
