I'm not a football fan at all, but 1 office that I used to work in ran a good pool for anyone... whether a die-hard fan, a casual fan or not a fan at all. It was an easy pool to understand, as well, even for those who aren't football fans. I miss that pool. Mostly because I managed to win at least 4 times a season (needless it say it annoyed the heck out of a lot of people). The way it was set up, there wasn't always 1 single winner (if there were multiple winners the pot was split evenly between them). My best win was $200. I took my mom to lunch with part of my winnings.

Yeah, the one we did had a big one for the superbowl. 2, actually. 1 for the half-time score and 1 for the end of game score and only 1 winner for each. If you won the halftime you got $100 if you won the end of game you got $200. One year, I won the end of game and my mom won the halftime.

I think weekly football pools take the weekly games and make it more exciting. You are interested in more games then just you home team. And though many feel it is a form of gambling and should be stopped, I feel that it adds to the excitement especially if your favorite team is not in teh chase for a playoff spot. I am an Eagles fan so I have gone through ups and downs, with teams winning only 4 games or going to the SuperBowl. We are looking for another run at the playoffs and with a rebuilt defense, a possible spot in the NFC championship and teh SuperBowl.

I am not from the US, but I am a big football fanatic!;) I wish we had that type of sport here, as I love banging bodies and clashing head-to-head with someone!;) I was pretty disappointed to last years Super Bowl, I was for the Bears but they were massacred by the Colts. I used to be a Packer fan, but things are different now on that team so I just have to stick with the Bears and their defense!;)

i also don't like footbal very much. I see sometimes people getting so excited about it but i don't see what they like so much at this footbal . It is a simple game quite booring in fact. Maybe i like to play a little cuz is good for your body and muscles and all that things but to watch , better forget about it ..
