Are you an adult who watches cartoons and have you been criticized for it?

I'm in my 40's and I absolutely love watching cartoons. I love all sorts of cartoons. I have lots of friends who've criticized my choices in the sorts of television I spend my time viewing. They say I'm being childish or that it's a waste of time. I can't understand why they would think that by watching whatever mindless soap opera drivel they've seen fit to involve themselves with - they have the right to criticize. I think that anyone who watches Family Guy or The Oblongs or for that matter The Looney Toons makes for a far more interesting person. I think it shows distinct character, while those who'd spend their time delving in say ... General Hospital, would show a distinct lack thereof. Do you enjoy your fair share of "toons" and have you been criticized as a result?
