Should books have ratings

Hi there. Im too sure if books have ratings or not, all I know is that if there is'nt any ratings, It would be great to have them now, as there are alot of awsome books out there being read by 1000's of readers, and feedback and ratings are great for the writer, so that he/she can write more good books...

I think our society is making the slow slide toward Totalitarianism without taking appalling measures like that. Books are the currency of a literature society. Would you want your money to have ratings on it? It amounts to the same thing. Only with books, you're halting the traffic of ideas, not just material goods. Sickening!

I definately think books should have ratings. I would like to know for my own sake a lot. Sometimes I pick up a book that seems to be a good story with out all the questionable stuff. I have been surprised more than a time or two. Even if youdont follow the guidelines it would be nice to know what you are getting into.
