Someone 'stole' my ebook...

I wrote some ebooks for my website, they are basically instruction books for doing audio stuff on your PC. I give them away on my website in a format which can't be printed or altered. (I 'unlock' them for sponsors who donate any small amount of their choice) Imagine my surprise to receive an email which began 'I have just bought your ebook on Ebay...'
I was shocked - I guess I should be flattered, but honestly I couldn't believe it. Anyway, I found the seller who seemed to be genuinely under the impression she had 'bought' my book with reseller rights!! To her credit, she immediately withdrew the ebook (it was being 'sold' together with software which is also openly avaialable for free...).
Has anybody else had this done to them - any advice for me??

You could contact ebay and let them know she was selling stolen material. They will probably close her account.
Unfortunately, content theft is very common on the web. Your lucky she took it off right away-you may want to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah I have given her the benefit of the doubt and even suggested she might want to come to some future arrangement. Ebay just came back with some automated response and have done nothing - they sent me a customer satisfaction survey as if they had done something and were inviting my comments, but I didn't see that they did anything at all...
