25+ is older? I know what you are saying but man it hit me hard for some reason. heh Don't pay any attention to me my bday is coming up and I get a bit bitter. :) I think that teen parents have it far more difficult than others and there are several reasons I believe this. I think that teen parents get to see their friends and peers out having fun whenever and do not get to have a care free life as they do. They also lack the life experience due to their young age and sometimes are not sure how to react to many issues that can arise. Young parents are often single parents as they are young and have yet to experience life. Usually one or the other decides to go have this life anyway which leads to a break down in the relationship. There is a lack of maturity that contributes to this. (This is not an insult it is just a fact.) I think for the mother it can bring a sudden maturity that she was not quite ready for and can give her depression.

I do not think it is really the age...I think it is based on the person. At age 15, I was a better mother to my child than I have seen a 19 yr old. But at age 25, I could say I was a better mother than I was when I was 15 yrs old. So really, it depends on the personality and maturity of the parent. Now, I am not saying that it is good to have children at such a young age...because being a mother from 15 to now...I can say it would had been better if I were older. I was more ready and receptive. I enjoyed the baby age more as a 20 something rather than a teen.

Well I think they have it easier as they get so much help now and the Benefits are good to But then again some of them find it hard to cope with a Baby or Toddler but there is always help there to for most of them but I believe they have it easier

It all depends on if their family is around to help them out with baby sitting etc. Otherwise it can be easier with family around helping, or it can be harder. It depends on the situation too. I would think either way child rearing has it's challeges, and as a teen it would be hard as teen would still want to party, etc... - DNatureofDTrain

Honestly, it's hard being a parent at any age. Younger parents usually have a hard time maturing so that they can be responsible enough to handle their child. Older parents usually have a hard time keeping up with their child. Every parent has obsticles which they must overcome, no matter what age they are.
