I was informed yesterday by the HR head of the good news and boy I was so happy, because I am not expecting any raise this year.. I was even more delighted by what the HR said..She told me "you deserve it!".. I am just so excited and happy...It's a nice feeling when you know you are appreciated and your hardwork pays off. To working people here..when did you have your last raise, were you happy about it?

That is really wonderful. I am sure you do deserve it. Hard work always pays off. My last raise was on Sept. 9th, the day my son was born. I am a stay at home mom and don't receive a pay check for what I do but I can't imagine a greater reward than the day I held my beautiful son for the first time. I am proud of you, my friend. Keep up the good work.

Praise be to God and Congrats to you for the raise that you recieved. You should give a treat.heeheee! Never mind, put the money that you have decided to spend on treat as an offering in the church next sunday. When God gives something your never expected, that is what you should be doing. As 1 Corinthians 2:9 says "That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, 'No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him." I am not working to get a salary raise. May be in future... I should say that God has blessed me with some money unexpectedly with some Online sites like Mylot.

Hello cefaz!(",) Congratulations! I guess, you must really be a hardworking person that's why you really deserve a raise in your salary. Those who are working in the government was given a 10% increase in their salary. I'm also thankful to God because at the age of 22 I was able to work in a state university. So far, I'm having a great time teaching students to become a competent nurse in the future. Great day and God bless you always!(",)

It's cool to receive a raise for your hard work. When you deserve it, you deserve it :P At my job everyone has raised and it's not because of our hard work. It's simply like that. At every 1040 hour of work you have a raise (so for me it's twice a year) and every february everyone has a raise. I think that for the 1040 it's 3% of your salary and in february 4% or it's 3 and 2. I'M not sure. 3 years ago I started at 8.28$ and right now i'M at 10.18$. I'm happy with it :P

Congratulations! Some companies really appreciate their employees. They often don't have to be asked by their employees in order to raise salaries. Others have different policies.

Oh cool, I am happy for you! My last raise was back in February but I am leaving in September at my present job, so I don't really feel anything. But I remember I had a good raise a few years back and I was really happy about it. It makes you feel like your hard work is appreciated and all the stress was gone for a little bit when received the news. Congratulations! I am sure you deserve the raise!

Hello cefaz_21, Congratulations to you! I think you really deserved to get a raise. As for me, I got mine in March this year. That was one of the highest raise and I was happy for that. I have been working for the same company for the past eight years and when they give a raise to us, definitely it will make us happy and determine to work harder.

Congratulations!! I do think you deserved it. I think that is the best news that you can get from your employer. I did have my raise about 6 months ago. I do hope there are more to come hehe. Those raises from my salary do help me a lot in paying off my debts and now I am trying my best to be out of debts.

looks like I am a little late in expressing my congratulations to you... but none the less.... YAY YIPEEEE way to go you! it is nice when you get recognized for doing a good job and doing it well... even nicer to get rewarded for it! EVEN NICER when you were not expecting it! I do not have a job outside the home and the family relies solely on my husband's earnings. He did get a recent raise and I am so very pleased with him for his dedicated and hard work to support this family. In the two years that he has been with this company he has had raises that amount to about $5 more an hour total from the time he started there. It was really difficult in the beginning of his employment because the work is so physically difficult and the pay was minimal - but now he is being compensated for sticking with it and doing a fine job. He does not think that he will be getting any more raises other than an occasional cost of living raise, perhaps.
