A son is a son till she finds a wife and the rest is known to you all....Do you support the view that daughters are the most attached to their family rather than sons?

I believe daughters shoulder most of the responsibility of their parents as they age. Sons have generally been thought to be too busy with job and family ties, but I think times have changed and the responsibility should be shared between all the siblings.

In general, yes it is true, but I believe it is because women are naturally more nuturing and therefore tend to take over the physical care of their parents. The eldest son however is expected to handle the parent's burial and final wishes part of the familial obligations.

I find this mostly to be true. I've seen it happen time and again with my own family, and my friends families. I took care of my Dad and Mom throughout their illnesses, as well as other family members who were ailing and dying. It seems like it's usually the daughter who has to take the bull by the horns and take care of them and see to their needs. The male siblings usually don't seem to do as much in the day to day care part of it all, and usually end up helping their wives care for HER parents in their elder years. I would never regret all the time and energy I spent keeping their houses, and making their last days happier.

this sounds interesting to me, because here in my country, sons are taken as the most attached to their family rather than daughters. in old times, and for some people now, daughters are leaving their families sooner or later when they are married. they should live with their husbands' families and their parents should live on and with sons. when parents are ill or die, it is the responsibity for sons to pay the money. this is why people prefer sons and people try their best to have a second child if they have only a daughter since there is birth control in our country now. but in your area, the fact is just on the contrary. interesting to me.
