vegetables??

we are aware of so many vegetables..we use so many of them everyday here or there..but some of them are considered to be very good,some in between and some not good for our health..can you tell me which are the good ones or must haves in our menus and which are to be avoided..??

Hi. I think its a good idea to always use fresh veges... We're quiet lucky we grow our own fresh vegetables and also when in season, our neighbours share what they have and we share what we have, so we all get a variety of fresh veges... Sometimes veges maybe sprayed with chemical, so it makes it a whole lot better when you know your source or supplier... Always use fresh...

i too prefer to use fresh vegetables..they are much better really..but what are the good ones and what are the bad ones..?can you tell me please..?

Beans - lets not eat too much beans
Yes there are many vegetables that we can asee and is readily availabe int he market and we could grow in our small garden. At home we have a garden of selected vegetables and when its time for cooking we just go outside and see if its ready to eat. There are certain vegetables that we should eat in moderation, like mongo and beans coz these vegetables are rich in uric acid and its not good for the oldies to have ecxes uric acid. Aside from that I do not know any other vegetables that we should eat in moderation.

Raw veggies are always the best because if you cook them too long you cook all the nutrients out of them.. Broccoli is a good one it has natural cancer fighting agents. Carrotts are good because they help aid in eyesight, and give you really good night vision. Corn is a bad one because it is mainly starch and that turns to sugars and fats.. So eat corn in maderation. Potatoes are also very starchy, and are bad in great amounts. That is all the vegitables I know about. I hope this helps you out a bit.

Actually, I thought ALL vegetables were good for us! Is this a trick question that you know the answer to? I know too many potatoes will make a person's butt fat. But that's the only kind of problem I can think of with veggies.

ha..ha..no HighReed1 ..its not a trick question..i really wanted to know it..both for my personal reasons as well as for knowledge of vegetables..i used to think that potatoes will make your face fat..lol..read posts above you..they are really good..many other vegetables are also harmful or not good..now i am talking too..:-)
