Horrible Day

Some days it really doesn't pay to get out of bed. I have been plagued with petty problems from the time I climbed out of bed this morning. I won't go into too many details, but the straw that broke the camel's back was getting a final notice from the post office about the parcel I had mentioned in an earlier discussion. I was told on Monday that it had been returned to sender. Now they tell me that the 25th is the final day. Does anybody do their job right anymore?

Yep, yessir, that's me ... been having that day for the past two days. The best one yet was I called up HP Computers cause they returned my brand new computer (when it broke) to me yesterday and when they put it back together they left a key out on the keyboard, yes and they sent it back to me like this. I called them up and the tech told me that it was understandable since they were always in such a hurry to get the computers back to their owners, I could not believe I heard him admitting that they did no quality control, I then asked to speak to his supervisor or the Quality Control supervisor. It was too funny telling them what their employees were saying, she assured me that I would have my computer back in a few days fixed like new and that she would handle the employee that told me such a thing. Can anybody do their job right anymore, or do they just don't care?

Sorry, texas, but I had to laugh(my first of the day) when I read about your struggles with the computer company. The people you have to deal with are enough to drive you nutty. They don't want to take responsibility for anything anymore. They act like we should grovel for the least service we get from them. Yeah, courteous service is gone for good.

I seem to have shaken off most of the blahs, apple. I've just been hanging in there and trying to keep my eyes on the prize, lol.

I know that feeling of why did I bother getting up today? I have a lot of those days due to many different stresses. But like you said in a reply, you just keep your eye on the prize. And that's the key. Some days the prize is just a blur and it's hard to see it, but it's still there. :) I'm glad your feeling more upbeat.

I have a lot of problems with our post office here too. I wish there was something that we could do but who can we complain too. It isn't like we can elect someone else to deliver our mail. Some days I wish I wouldn't have gotten out of bed as it seems as it is problem after problem. However, look at the bright side - we can get out of bed as many people can't!

You are so right, carolscash! That is why I do my best not to give in when these days come along. Whenever I can, I try to keep busy so as not to allow the depression creep in. I think it worked today. I can now see light at the end of the tunnel.:D

I know the type of day you mean and I really hope that you have a better day tomorrow! The type of situation you had with the post office is far from isolated sweets - I had a very similar experience with my sons school today and many problems like this in the last few weeks with the health service! Oh well - let just hope things get better! xxx

I'll agree on that, mummymo. It just seems that the more that they raise the price on postage stamps, the worse the service gets. I deal with UPS all the time and have never had a problem with them. Things will get better for all of us-I hope.

Oh, on days like that, sometimes I just get into bed and tell myself that I'll start over. I sleep for about an hour, get out of bed, and try to rescue the evening at least. I hate it when everything goes wrong.

Yes, beleive it or not most things get done right or at least close to it. If they didn't, this whole crazy world would stop functioning and fall apart. I can't recall having any problems with the USPS like so many others seem to have. But I see from earlier that you have received your package.

I've had my times with the post office too.It was the first time in my life I actually had to wait for a key to come for my mail box.I always lived in an apt complex where they would just give me one.

I'm coming into this discussion late, but I just had to chuckle when I read about everyones daily blunders. Not because I think it is funny that any of you have had rotten days, but because it seems like I will have those kind of days for weeks at a time. I feel like I have brain mush and forget what I am doing before I even start. It's terrible. There are some days when I will rush from one thing or another and accomplish NOTHING. But, I suppose it's good that I am even able to rush around since there are people who cannot do that. Hope you have a better day today, worldwise!
