pencil sharpener

Oh! That is great. My son uses the very ordinary, least expensive ones.

I have one that belonged to my grandfather. He was a carpenter and was always using pencils to mark his wood where to cut or glue so he used it a lot. This pencil sharpener was attached to the kitchen wall when I was a kid (I'm 48 yrs old) and it was a few years old when he put it up there. I now live in my grandparents house (they are both gone) and that same pencil sharpener is still hanging in the same place and the only time it gets taken down is if the wall gets painted. Then it goes right back up. I still use it on a regular basis and it works as good now as it did 40 yrs ago.

My family used to have an electric one but we had to throw it away because my siblings would keep dropping it and it got to the point where it was too damaged to even bother using it. Now I don't really even use pencils that much but when I do I just use my brother's regular sharpner which is a small yellow circle.
